I've been neglecting Ollie's blog lately, but I'll try to get back on track...

Sunday walks

This past Sunday I took Ollie on a walk to see the pinwheels displayed at the state Capitol. I think they're there for child abuse prevention.

I think Ollie enjoyed his new route and found the pinwheels interesting, but nothing beat chasing birds around the Capitol. I can only imagine how crazy I must've looked to people driving by who couldn't see Ollie from the road darting back and forth chasing birds while I held on to his leash.

Easter recap

Easter weekend Ollie went 2 days in a row to visit my grandma. On Saturday we told her that Ollie knew how to hunt Easter eggs and she smiled when we asked if she wanted to watch...so we brought him back on Sunday to hunt eggs for my grandma. Ollie is always willing to entertain her or to snuggle on the bed :)

Dog friendly

Earlier this month Nolan and I went to California to visit Cece...what I noticed was just how dog friendly it is! Fashion island had dogs everywhere! It took a little getting used to seeing big Labradors walking around stores like Neiman Marcus...I loved it!

And even though there were a ton of dogs the place was so clean. So well manicured, no smell, nothing. It looked better maintained than the malls here...that don't allow dogs to walk around.

It made me sad for Ollie. He would love it.

Also at fashion island was a super cute dog store, muttropolis. Right in the middle of the store was a doggy bully bar! Instead of cute jars of candy, there were Kara of all sorts of bully sticks and other chewy items.

Again, Ollie would love it!

Under the weather

Ollie hasn't been feeling well the past few days...the vet said it may be colitis :(

Yesterday Ollie had a case of the liquid poops and vomit poor little guy. We took him to the vet where he was given some anti-inflammatory meds and was told to not give him dinner that night...which about killed us when he started asking for his dinner and looking so frustrated when he wasn't given anything...

At about 2am Nolan tried to get Ollie to drink some water (a lot of water was suggested by the vet) then about 3 am Ollie threw up bile...he was starving.

Me being a total softie couldn't stand it anymore and thought 3am was a good time for his medication and breakfast of cottage cheese (also recommended by the vet). He gobbled it up quick and went back to sleep. I tried to stay up in case there was another poop explosion, but luckily there wasn't.

Ollie seems better today but still a little tired and confused why he can't have his normal food.

I hate seeing him sick:(

Exploring his heritage

Another gift from our trip to Florida is this Chinese top I got while in "china" at epcot world showcase. I thought that it would be nice for Ollie to have something Chinese to celebrate his dads roots ;p

It was the smallest size they had but its still a little big so I don't think it's the most comfortable for him.
