behind the blinds

when ollie is at grandma & grandpa's house he gets into all sorts of mischief. lately, he likes to walk behind the blinds...and plop himself down for a sunbath.

neuter now

the humane society's neuter now program started this week. you can read about it on the humane society's website here. you basically buy a certificate ($125 for male dogs) to receive a discounted rate on the procedure if you go to a participating vet. nolan went to pick up ollie's certificate yesterday. you can pick one up at the humane society or at any satellite city hall.

there's also a $5.00 microchip special going on as well. we were going to take ollie for that too, but decided to wait till he went to get neutered to do everything at once. my friend just took her 20lb black lab to get microchipped, and she called saying she's so glad i decided not to take ollie because the needle was HUGE!

anyhoo...

ollie is going in to get neutered next month.
they said he has to stay overnight.

i don't want him to.

there is no one that will be there during the night. they said someone will stay late and come in early, but really...that's a long time to be left alone isn't it better if he just comes home where someone (me) can watch him and where he'll be comfortable and happy?

what do you guys think? am i just being a paranoid/nervous new mom?

the other week ollie recieved a hand-me-down from his friend spunky.
spunky can no longer fit his backpack and passed it on to ollie to use.

There's in article in the StarAdvertiser today about abercrombie vs. hannemann and the picture is this one:

the picture was face up on the table at work and i just so happened to be carrying ollie as i walked by. so i picked up the paper and jokingly asked ollie, "ollie, who do you want to vote for?" and he put his nose on mufi. i thought it was funny so i asked him once more and he did it again!

i guess we know who ollie would vote for.
or maybe he just doesn't like abercrombie's beard. i know i don't. ha!

here we are trying to get him to pick again for a picture op, but he wasn't having it. he just wanted to play.

like father like son

ollie loves his dad, but hardly gets to see him.

nolan's quality time includes taking a nap...although i don't think ollie minds. he likes naps as much as his dad does!

i thought it was cute that they even nap the same!

he's got a busy afternoon ahead of him, a play date w/cinnamon and a 1yr old baby!
